MEMÒRIES D’UNA PUÇA

In this show, Sol will give us her particular point of view about DECADENCE, about GRIEF a hot subject in this moment of economical and social convulsion in Spain.

We see The Loss as an opportunity. This thought sums up the soul of the new creation of Sol Picó, Memòries d’una puça (“Memoirs of a flea”) A reflection on the crisis that shakes the world, as a devastating hurricane that prevents us to advance, an impossible Exodus, and on the need to change this world, to escape from this suffocating situation.

Three nomads, pathetic up close and insignificant in the distance, which propose a transhumant trip, with an ending that leaves them adrift, like a message in a bottle, a desire, a desperate call for help…

The fantasy and absurdity are the focuses of this choreographic piece. A sincere, austere, minimalist and convulsed exercise.

Memòries d’una puça (“Memoirs of a flea”) is a proposal of reflection from the dance about Decadence, about Grief expressed as a “road movie”.

In the constant movement, are we running away or moving forward?

What are we leaving behind and how does it affect us?

To what extent are we taking part in the building of our future?

The relationships we establish in this nomadic journey, are of complicity, are they collaborative?

Who they are and how we choose our traveling companions?
